It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

$2.67 at the Sunrise or Sun-something down the street.  $2.69 at the Exxon across the way.

There's gotta be a pop next week with the holiday. It'll be interesting to see if it comes back down after next weekend or stays up.

Yeah, it's been forever since diesel was regularly cheaper than gasoline. When I first bought my truck, it was nearly a dollar cheaper than regular.

The cheapest I've seen it here, at least at a station where I would trust the storage tanks, is $3.50.

I thought the higher diesel price was a result of low-sulfur reg's.

The 2.38 prices only lasted about three days, then jumped up to 2.69. A lot of stations immediately went back down to 2.59 or 2.55. I scored some for 2.49 last night.

I imagine that diesel has stayed up where it is, is because of the demand of the trucks and rail.

Have seen it as low as $2.30 a gallon now in the area.   :O

Full on week's-end fillups on my truck are under $50 now.

Also you get less gallons of diesel per barrel of crude then you do with gasoline. Does vary some on how the refinery distills for market demand.

Which is weird because Dec 15 delivery fuel has only bounced up and down by .06 over the last 5 business days.

I wonder what the price at the terminal in your area has been doing. The terminal where most of the fuel is delivered to the stations that I buy from runs about .10-.12 over commodity price.

2.719 for E-10 87 this morning.

Of course I paid 3.339 for 91 octane, my next vehicle will not be supercharged, nor will I put a supercharger on it.

$2.65 at the overly-convenient station this morning.  Didn't go by the less-convenient ones that are usually $0.05-$0.15 cheaper yet.

I paid $2.81 at the Pilot in Monee last weekend on my way back form deer hunting.

The Pilot in Gary, IN is $2.72, which will be $2.67 when I get my discount.  And it looks like every station around my folks house is at $2.79.  So, Gary, IN it is.

It's back to 2.38 here. Actually, 2.39 in a lot of places, but I got 2.38 at Shop N' Save.

$2.75 at Costco, $2.85-$3.19 average at the name brand stations.

Looks like I have to eat my words about prices jumping for holiday travel (though I did see $3.75 at a travel center on the I-5 earlier this week).

Probably no spike since 1/3 of the country's population is going to be snowed in and not traveling.

WTI dropped about $4.25 after the Saudis announced they were not going to cut production.  It closed at just over $69/bbl.

I'm thinking the Saudis are going after our oil industry.  Much of what we are pumping out of the ground using fracking and horizontal drilling is not profitable if oil falls below $75/bbl.  We're already there.

Oh good, I'll need to top off around Monday.  Can probably hold out a couple more days on the reserve can, but it would be nice to fill everything up cheaper.

I know my 12 gallon tank only costs $1.20 more to fill if prices are up $0.10, but I tend to look at it more in terms of miles per $20; a $0.10 difference often means another 12 miles on a $20, which is an extra round trip to mom's.
