Hagel falling on his sword?

Secretary of Defense resigning.  Is this another case of someone falling on their sword to save Obama?

Making auto mechanics happy. The administration bus needs near-constant suspension work and wheel alignments.

Quote
Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced Monday he is stepping down, leaving under pressure following a rocky tenure in which he has struggled to break through the White House's insular team of national security advisers.

I think that says it all.  Obama hired a Republican as a sop to bipartisanship,  then preceded to ignore him,  and treat him like a token. Hagel's sick of it. Whether or not he would have been a good SecDef had he been allowed we'll never know.

Seeing reports that he was asked to resign.  He will stay on until a replacement is confirmed.  Curious as to who will be replaced first, him or Holder.

I do have to add that my sympathy is mixed, given the predictable nature of the environment he stepped into. He must be mighty gullible if he believed he would be allowed any meaningful autonomy or input.

Even a RINO like Hagel wasn't sufficiently anti-American to gain full Administration approval . . .
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

Hagel has always been a compromising, turncoat POS.  Screw him.

Well I guess during Nam he was only an NCO so he should have known how to get *expletive deleted*it done.  Definitely didn't fit into Obama's cabinet.
