Sorry for the pain this evening, but I think we've successfully moved from PunBB to SMF -- the new forum software.

It looks different, but it had to be done for maintainability reasons.

If you notice anything wrong with the new forum (not "I don't like the colors and layout" -- we'll get to that; I'm interested in <xxxxxxxx> is totally broken and didn't convert) then please let Oleg or me know.

Is there supposed to be a way to bring a reader to new posts on a thread? I see the button to take us to the last post but nothing for a first new post since last looking at a thread.

Just thought I'd mention that the smilies aren't working.

Above the box in which you type your post are the words, instead of the little graphics, and when you put a smiley into the post you're typing the code shows up but nothing appears once you finally post.

As cosine mentioned in another thread, avatar upload isn't working. Says "The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved."

Change....uh, I don't handle change well. I mean, it's hard for me to change. The fact that I'm on the same pair of shorts now for 62 days should tell you something.

This will take a little adjustment, but it looks fine. Just out of curiosity, were the maintenance issues related to troll prevention/containment?

This is a pretty cool feature. I can't really see much of a use for it, though. Might make smilies interesting.

I note that we have two copies each of the 'undecided' and 'rolleyes' smilies.

I have checked the box to hide my email - my email still shows, the envelope still shows that indicates email.

Personal messages- I checked the show pop up for a new message and email notification, I do not see a indicator, of Personal Messages to show "0" or any number of any rec'd either.

Question:
Is there any way to increase the default number of posts displayed? I am pretty much anti-mouse and try to keep my hands on the keyboard most the time.

I noodled around the profiles settings & I did not find that facility.
