Chick-fil-a
« on: April 04, 2015, 10:40:24 AM »
With great fanfare, three Chick-fil-a stores (Bellevue, Tacoma and Lynnwood) will be opening in the next several weeks.  This is the first entry of the chain to Washington state.  I looked at the online menu, and this might be worth a try if I find myself in the area.

The food is good, but I think people are usually just impressed with the service. Very fast, very friendly and polite.

Also, who doesn't love misspelling cows?

Every once in a great while I'll get a sammich from them. I don't eat fast food as a general rule but their standard sandwich is pretty un-fast food like IMHO.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

For fast food, the food quality is much higher than pretty much everyone else.  And as a rule customer service is enforced.  Always great service.

Food is upper middle of the road for fast food. Better by far than McD's or BK.

And they piss liberals off, so there's that.

Pretty good food and excellent service. ChikFilA is a favorite of mine. I would hold off going for a few weeks once they do open, they are likely to be insanely crowded for a while once they open. After that, expect a good crowd at lunchtime and suppertime, but they are usually pretty fast and efficient at slamming the orders out even during peak mealtimes.

They are closed Sundays.

I think you mean to say, they refuse service to non-Sabbatarians. Who's going to burn down #chickfila with me?

You also forgot to say something about how the corporation exploits their wage slaves by not allowing them to work a full week.

They finally opened one near me a while back.  I need to go there after all the APS positive reviews.

My Dad.

He normally is a drive through person.

One day he actually decided to go inside to get his chicken. The store he was in had someone dressed in a cow suit for the kids and such.
Now, you have to understand, when Dad was a kid, *expletive deleted*it like that creeped him out.

So he comes home and starts talking about his new idea for a movie. Zombie Cows.

I'm pretty sure the entire time he was in that chikfila, he was observing the cow and imagining taking it out with the Saiga 12.

ETA: I guess I should also add two more votes for "food is good" Dad may not like the guy in the cow suit, but he does enjoy the chicken.

no. what was hilarious was the collection of one liners and catch phrases he'd come up with on his way home for The Night of the Living Cows.

one day, I really have to get one of his more insane creative episodes on film. He'd be a YouTube sensation if I could just remember to take video.

I love Chick-fil-a and have been waiting for the Bellevue one to open.  I drove by a couple of weeks ago and they were still getting it ready to open..

There had been a Chick-fil-a in Bellingham but I believe it closed.

Why's that?  None around here, so I have no referent... is it just because they close Sundays?  Or are there even better things they do to piss off liberals hyper-leftist morons?

As an unbiased observer (Not a huge chick-fil-a fan, nor liberal) it seems like they piss off the liberals by being openly Christian and saying aloud they think homosexuality is a bad idea.

But I dodon't pay all that much attention.

I personally disagree with Chik-fil-a ownership on some of their public positions, if I owned a fast food or other restaurant it would be open Sundays purely for more income and I don't really care what others do as far as sexuality so I wouldn't be contributing money to groups that oppose gay marriage or what have you they do to piss of Liberals. Of course they have the absolute right to their beliefs and I support their right to have their beliefs even if I don't personally share them. Plus I like them just cause they piss of Liberals.

Now all that said. I don't even like chicken and I like Chik-fil-a chicken. Unfortunately since they aren't open Sundays, most of the time I'm anywhere near the closest one they aren't open.
