Catholic School is ashamed of Catholic Missionary

Of course, I should probably have titled it "Catholic" school. Like most such institutions, it is Catholic in name only. (e.g. Marquette in Wisconsin.)

Sadly, the Catholic church in the United States has lost its grip on almost all of its once great institutions. Of course, lack of discipline within the church likely bears a great deal of the blame for this.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

So, judging people by the color of their skin rather than the content of their character is legitimate so long as they fall below an arbitrary melanin index. I'm not one to be effusive in praise of MLK, but that's a damn sad comment on his legacy. :'( Way to go tolerant, inclusive, diversity-embracing progressive "educators".

I think these guys equate culture and religion and they are not necessarily the same.  As the article says, they priest did a lot to help the Indians and document their culture.

The Catholic Church is not that dissimilar to the episcopal church in that it's socialists are usurping control

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

Not surprising.

  'Cause choosing to attend a college founded by white Catholics means you're being forced to submit to their culture and religion.

Anyone with two eyes can tell that straight, white, Christian men, with or w/o political variances from the party line, are the ones purposely made to feel unwelcome in the academy, unless they "submit" to a certain culture, and religious viewpoint. And even then, they're still guilty of "privilege."

Sometimes I think the long-term memory of a goldfish is longer than the short-term memory of APS.

If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.
