So I'm a 'super-terrorist'?  I flew at least 3 times with 3 throwing knives in my backpack that I'd forgotten about.  It's one of those massive laptop backpacks with pockets all over the place.  But in 3 flights they didn't notice 3 steel throwing knives in a holster stuck in a pocket of a backpack dutifully run through the x-ray machine.

It's a shame that the standard response to this news, at least from what I saw on the news, is that we need to spend more money and resources on fixing the TSA.  Nobody seemed to consider that the TSA was a step in the wrong direction.

Same thing with White House and Pentagon tours carrying a day pack that I hadn't realized a fair sized camp knife was still tucked into.

Didn't they also have a similiar failure rate a few years back when they ran the same tests?

Didn't they allegdelly "fix" the "problems" back then also?

My step mother was a TSA screener back when the agency first formed. She was able to carry full sized blue guns and large fake explosives through security, while wearing her id card, without it being detected when doing penetration testing. The TSA agents usually couldn't even spot their own coworkers playing the role of terrorist even though they worked together on different shifts. She left after several months of very low quality coworker antics and the like. She has no respect for that job.
