Just did a google of LV.

1. Oh dear, can he market Tactifoolery.  Mall Ninjas ought to just hand him their checkbooks and skootch backwards on their knees after presenting it to him on a platter.

2. Would it kill him to smile in a photo?  Or is the persona of LARRY F-ING VICKERS incompatible with naturally occurring human emotion and facial expressions?

3. I am sure some of his stuff is quality kit/training/etc. and I am sure I could benefit from some of it.  Sure hope his class persona is more reasonable than his marketing persona.

Lon H.?  (just curious.  He's the first face-shooter to come to mind)

Yeah, Balog, don't go all c&sd on us. Spill.

Sorry, wasn't trying to be cryptic just restating the stuff from the first couple links. I was talking about The LAV as roo_ster observed. As far as I can tell he was what he claims to be in the .mil, but he has since parlayed that experience into a platform for shilling.

You forgot that he has the Standard Operator Gut.

I knew you were talking about Vickers. What I don't get is the "shooting people in the face" bit.  ???

Aside from Lon Horiuchi, Lenny Magill is the only face-shooting aficionado I can think of. Anybody ever see his videos? He shoots every target in the face; never the COM.

The Tactical Potbelly seems to be the in thing. I've noticed a *expletive deleted*it ton of "instructors" on the internet sport one.

That's a generic job descriptor for special forces types. Just internet slang, nothing in particular intended.

Oh, I've never heard that one. If you had said "snake eater," or "operational beard," I would have immediately understood.

Can someone please tell my Dad that, no, he is not allowed to buy some of this crap and cook with it?

I know he thinks he's being funny, but I am not amused.

Nor is he original. Youtube already has videos of it.

Get him hooked on "Will it blend?"

At least then you won't have to eat the result.

First of all, I do not eat ANYTHING he cooks burns. My concern is that he eats what he cooks burns and only by the grace of God has he not seriously poisoned himself.

Kitchen Laws laid down by yours truely are the reason he doesn't kill himself (or get himself killed for cooking burning in my pots and pans)

Also, we do not have a blender. If we had a blender, he would not be allowed to use it. He is allowed to use the microwave and the toaster. No, you idiots and YouTube are not allowed to encourage any silly new channels like "will it toast" or "will it microwave".

Goodwill stores are full of cheap small appliances.  I just got a countertop convection-type toaster oven big enough for a 12" pizza for $11.  Makes TV dinners and pizza rolls taste better than nuking them.

Next time I'm through there, I'll have to grab some equipment for my new "Could George Foreman Grill It?" YouTube show.

Speaking of which, I should track down my former roommate and bill him for the one lost to his habit of storing random stuff in the oven.  He moved out, and I didn't think to check the next time I went to bake something, because he wasn't there to have done it...

Nope; just for some reason it never got through his skull that the oven isn't just another cabinet.
