My uncle thought it was rich to pull my signature on the side on me once.

Once!

Well, after a used head of eBay, a new spark plug and a new piston and timing belt, it ran.  Really well, actually.  There were some minor, mostly preexisting issues I've had to work out, but on the whole, it's been a decent car so far.  (Yay 30mpg!!!)

Cheap tires are on their way from tirerack.

I figure if it runs for 4000 okay, the engine will be alright.   smiley

I had a high-revving 225hp turbo four that was filled with 87 when I'd been using 93.  Massive detonation destroyed a plug: but I had a variety of gauges that told me something was wrong before it got TRULY ugly.

Man, I don't think mere detonation can do that.

Yuck!  Sad

Unless he was pumping liquid C4 into that cylinder.

Nothing that can't be fixed with a little ductile tape.   smiley
