I'm not sure how many other Alaskans out there, but there's currently a bill out there that would take the power to regulate CCW and Open carry out of the board of regent's hands.
Primarily because the Regent's use of said power has been a simple total ban. They've also been having the vapors about it, going by the emails they've been sending out.
The usual rhetoric like "But students are
immature!" (you have to be 21 anyways)
"What about the stress of finals!" (like losing your job isn't stressful)
"Dorm occupants and alcohol!" (like I don't have enough booze at home to get completely blasted)
etc...
