The Keurig for beer

Hmm. Interesting. Looks to be a competitor of the PicoBrew, built in Seattle: https://www.picobrew.com/Store/products/pico.cshtml

I used to be heavily into homebrewing but got out of it several years back.  I gave all my equipment to my son, who is now using it.  Brewing smaller batches with the press of a button sounds intriguing, but you seem to be locked into pre-made ingredient packs, so I wonder how much customization you can do.  However, at a price of $ 500, I will be watching this.

The Picobrew Zymatic (did I get that name right?) intrigues me because it can use bulk grains and your own recipes, and it makes a decent amount of beer.  I have no interest in this new tiny one that only takes premade pods.  (what does a pod cost, $20?)

I have looked at the Zymatic, but I figure that for the $ 2000 cost, that would keep me in beer for over fifteen years, seeing that I buy maybe 10 sixpacks per year.  At my current consumption level, given that my wife does not drink beer, doing my own just does not pencil out.  But I have to say that I miss it.

And why is he not giving you some of his ?? :old: :old:
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

He and his friends are into the lighter lagers, which I am not really a fan of.

Picobrew and the like make zero sense.

The best way to automatically brew beer is to buy it.
Maybe a rare occurence, but then you only have to get murdered once to ruin your whole day.

I don't drink enough beer to justify making my own either, so I just buy it at a store.

I used to think that, then I started home brewing.

Now i drink enough beer to justify the brewing.

Homebrewing is like reloading...you don't save any money, but you drink more.

My liver doesn't need the extra beer.

But seriously, a 12-pack will last me a year. I pretty much only drink beer when I go to restaurants these days.
