That, I think, is a indication as to WHY you use a protecting lube when fastening bolts and nuts.
Mine get high-temp anti-seize. That, OTOH, was a company truck, and I suspect the previous tire change had been done wherever the boss found that was cheapest.
Not that I don't use cheap places too, but as soon as it's out, I grab a 4-way, crack all the lug nuts loose and re-tighten by hand.
