US Customs/FDA, destroying your merchandise.
« on: August 25, 2016, 04:51:59 AM »
Bunch of new laws came into effect apparently affecting how the US Customs and the FDA do things.

Is someone in .gov deliberately TRYING to provoke someone into doing something extreme?  [tinfoil]

What are the FDA reg's on imported cigars that identify as American-made chewing gum?

Also, what regulations would he break by sending broken cigars to each member of Congress, and various govt. officials? He could send them a bill, so he's not giving them away.

Sounds like the Cigar industry and the Vape industry should be combing forces on this. They both got slaughtered by the August 8 deeming regs. This one however, may actually get the attention and sympathy of the powers that be...

Sounds like a federal lawsuit to me.  Completely destroying a product to inspect would seem to be seizure without payment.

Sounds like some cigars need to go in the harbor.

I'd demand a refund on the taxes, because the value of the cigars received is $0.

There are forms for when customs damages or destroys stuff.

Last I checked, we don't vote for bureaucrats.

Indeed, in this case writing your representatives might work better because, on average, this isn't something that's high enough on the important scale for any candidate to be running on solving it.

Tar, feathers, rail, un-elected bureaucrat, some assembly required.

No, but we do vote for the people who can defund their departments.

I hate to think what modern day city prosecutors would try to do to people who did that.

I guess that is when it needs to be repeated with the prosecutor.

Well if they were the right skin tone and just expressing their frustrations of daily life waiting for the liquor store to open and what store to loot at the next community rally, probably recommend them for lunch with the president.
