Friday night....What's for dinner?
« on: April 29, 2005, 03:42:40 PM »
Inspired by the "American Cuisine" post. For my part, it's Old Bay crabcakes and OCT (okra/corn/tomatoes) washed down with MGD.

What's on your menu?

I made potato soup earlier. If the tomcat doesn't shut up, it may not be entirely meatless.

Friday supper this week is breaded chicken strips with mac&cheese, this being Healty Habits convince food for work consumption.  Along with that is a small apple and steaming hot coffee.

Late night snack (after work while watching Red Dwarf reruns) will be left over lamb vindaloo, sliced star fruit and a couple of frosty cold Lagers.  OK, they will be Ales actually, since I don't really like Lagers, so sue me. Cheesy

Pile of mashed potatoes, pile of green beans, and pile of steamed mixed vegetables.  The meat in the cafeteria looked a bit frightening tonight.

Leftover Spagetti, warmed in the microwave at work.  I work every friday night, last night was a 2-10 shift.

An enchilada casserole and deep fried Morrell Mushrooms plus homemade onion rings.  Earlier in the day we had marinated sirlion kabobs on the grill with green peppers and onions.  No alcohol this evening...got the head cold from Hades and feel bad enough already.

Hope I'm OK enough to shoot a match on Sun.

Stir fried linguini with canola oil, cabbage, spinach, corn, onion (lots), broccoli, and tuna, sprinkled with some dashi powder, turmeric, and Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning. Sounds weird, but it is really good! P.S. and lots of garlic!

I had a nice big spinach salad with feta cheese, edamame (soybeans), roasted chicken, some fresh mozarella balls, and other assorted veggies, and parmesegian (sp?) peppercorn dressing.

Chunk of halibut, wrapped in foil with lemon pepper and mayo and cooked on the grill.

Several glasses of wine, a nice salad, liver paste and bar cheese and crackers, a baked grouper garnished with saute'd shrimp on a plank with mixed steamed veggies.
