Just as an aside.

Talk about perverse incentives.  The max penalty is roughly one, maybe two, months of insurance coverage for most families with the new rate hikes kicking in.



Why do I have a feeling that the D's* will propose that if you don't get private insurance, then if you pay the "penalty" each year, you'll be "covered" under the new single-payer scheme.



* It will be called "The Hillary Option to Obamacare".  Of course the D's need her to win and have long coattails...

I just received an e-mail blast from one of my U.S. senators, encouraging me to vote straight Democratic. In addition to assuring me that this will help promote action against [gasp] GUNZ! [/gasp] and global warming climate change, and for equal pay and universal health care, he made sure he mentioned championing LGBTXYZ rights.
