In what researchers consider a major scientific leap, a team at Ohio State University has discovered a new way of turning skin cells into any type of cells the body might need, a technology that has limitless potential, from regenerating a wounded limb to repairing a brain after stroke to healing a damaged heart.
Put me down for a kidney...and some new bone marrow...
http://www.dispatch.com/news/20170807/ohio-state-researchers-report-breakthrough-in-cell-regenerationBack in my day, we didn't get do-overs.
Call me vain, but could it regenerate some hair follicles for me...?
I wouldn't be surprised that in the same way as porn drove internet expansion, that cosmetic stuff like guys wanting their hair back (or no hair on their back), will drive much of the advancement in this cell research.
Device turns skin cells into veins, brain tissue, etc.
Sounds good at first, but if you fall down and scrape your brain, then what?
