Bush on Trump's Inauguration Speech

Supposedly he said, "That was some weird sh*t."

To bad that wasn't recorded for all to hear.
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Bacon is the candy bar of meats!

Only the dead have seen the end of war!

I'm disappointed with GW. I've admired him all these years for keeping his mouth shut about Obama. Now he has to avenge his brother by going after Trump. It makes him look petty.

The article presents it as an overheard comment that he won't substantiate. Do you think Bush is leaking this?

This is something that other unnamed persons supposedly overheard him say. He's not out there blasting Trump or anything.

He's had a couple of critical things he's said about Trump over the last few months.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. What statements is his father most famous for?

  • "Read my lips - I want to be President" (When asked what his presidential agenda was)
  • "Let's go out and kick some ass!" (In speaking about the opposing VP candidadate, Geraldine Ferrara)

after viewing Jeb lose and whine, I'm never voting for the aristocracy again.
I do like however how B43 was hitler then and now he's mandela because he supports the
mendacity
Politicians and bureaucrats are considered productive if they swarm the populace like a plague of locust, devouring all substance in their path and leaving a swath of destruction like a firestorm. The technical term is "bipartisanship".

He was asked about that comment today
"If I said it I don't remember it," Bush told NPR. "But I'm glad I went to the inauguration."
...
"What should characterize my reaction is it was a beautiful experience," Bush said.
