Veg-O-Matic and Pocket Fisherman Go Public

I was cracking up at this news story (heard on Mornings With Maria, so no link). For those of you of a more mature age, you will remember the Veg-O-Matic, Pocket Fisherman, spray on hair, Mr. Microphone ("Hey good lookin', we'll come back for you later!") and all the other wonderful products offered by the famous "act now and we'll throw in... " Ronco.

Ronco is going IPO. If you buy $5000 or more in the initial offering, they'll throw in a free countertop oven.  :rofl:

I know a couple of people who have the Ronco Rotisserie Ovens and they say they are just fantastic pieces of equipment.

They also get extremely high marks on Amazon.

When I was a youngster, I bought my mother a Veg-O-Matic for her birthday.

She used it for many years - it did a really good job of slicing up potatoes for french fries.

Somebody gave us a rotisserie several years ago, worked good but only got pulled out once of twice a year so the wife put it in a garage sale
