Another thing somebody could have told me
« on: April 24, 2017, 10:42:33 AM »
I decided to start the season with a newer, better, heavier duty (and more expensive) 72" rough cut mower deck for the back of my diesel Kubota utility tractor.
Paid for it, had the dealer load it on the trailer and brought it home. I thought it a little odd that it didn't come with any owner's manual but in this new digital age I found everything I needed on the manufacturer's web site to get the PTO shaft set up and the linkage tweaked to fit my quick hitch, etc. Greased, lubed, all set, all good.
Powered it up to operating speed with no problems, perfect balance, all is mechanical harmony for about 30 feet of fresh cut orchard grass
,...and then suddenly
"THWAP-THWAP-THWAP".
WTH!
I perfectly mulched the owners manual formerly encased in heavy plastic and taped to the underside of the deck, along with whatever product registration, warranty info, warning stickers and whatnot that was included.
Oh well...

Taping the manual under the deck keeps it safe from the weather!

What model Kubota do you have?  And which mower deck?

So what are you bitching about? Now you know the thing works as advertised.
