Brain fade on my part, Fistful. I did mean to say "rural."

But there's a great side to the urban blues as well. Don't know if you've ever been to Memphis, but Beale Street is the place to go.

If you haven't been there, check out the Rum Boogie Cafe. Every blues artist of any fame has played that bar. They have guitars from some of the greats hanging on the walls.

And, of course, there's B.B. King's club. Pretty $$$ just to get in, and the food and drinks are expensive, too. But we've seen some great bands play there.

I've been to Beale Street a couple of times, but I haven't been to Beale Street.  Driving through it in broad daylight doesn't count.

Well, walking from Beale Street to any respectable hotel in the downtown area is an experience unto itself.

Carry weapons.

A little off-topic from the original post, but for those who enjoy listening to music, are there any songs you listen to almost everyday?

Back to ohio is from a song by Chrissie Hynde and the Pretenders.
Not positive of the title: Way to go, Ohio?

...but she's speaking of the urbanization of the nice farmland in OH.
Not sure "why" she went back...or are you asking about why YOU went?

It's Rush Limbaugh's theme.

It's also a stupid song.

But I find Chrissey Hynde enormously sexy.

Oh, and the band did some great songs, too. Wink

I'm glad the Rush Limbaugh version is strictly instrumental.
