Perhaps this post was meant as sarcasm. Should there be a Putin ata-boy list also?
If he's done some things you're proud of you could post them.  Ron and Opportunity might contribute too!

Just thought I’d give this place a try. Seems mostly not for me.
Luckily, we stopped holding people here against their will a few weeks ago.  You're welcome to stay, of course, but if we're not what you expected ...

At what point will the insanity of this administration become so apparent that even the most egregious moron will have to admit failure?

I guess someone missed the part where Trump was resoundingly re-elected and is now at the height of his political popularity.  =)

I for one believe there's a "Uniparty" that's made to look like two parties as "government by the people" is now "government by special interests and donors".  So I guess "Uniparty" is ultimately to blame and "We the People" are screwed if "Uniparty" is allowed to split "We the People" to fight each other.

🧵THE UNIPARTY UNMASKED – They Believe They Are “Democracy”

The seven NGOs in the chart below, in my view, represent the Uniparty. Each of these organizations receives substantial financial support from USAID or the Department of State.

Around 2019, the phrase “democracy in danger” began to dominate public discourse, amplified by the media. This was odd—after all, the U.S. is a democracy (or more precisely, a constitutional republic). But as I traced the influence of these NGOs, a pattern emerged: they are controlled by establishment politicians, they play a major role in shaping political narratives worldwide, and their core mission is always framed as “protecting democracy.”

Originally, these NGOs were created to support U.S. democratic efforts abroad—many of them emerging during the Cold War to combat the spread of communism. But with the fall of the Soviet Union, their original purpose faded. Instead of dissolving, they redefined their mission. Now, they have positioned themselves as the guardians of democracy itself.

This shift explains why Trump’s re-election was framed as a "threat to democracy." To these NGOs, “democracy” means themselves. Their survival depends on maintaining that role, and any challenge to their authority is perceived as a direct attack on democracy itself.

People who reject the invisible magic sky creature are usually so erudite, well reasoned in their positions, and of a fine disposition.

We're diminished not being exposed to more than just two posts from our new member, who obviously has such unique insights to share.

Farewell worldly sage and master of knowledge, we hardly knew thee!

For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

It's official now.

Trump has officially broken Rosie. She has been cracking for quite a while now but she finally has the brain fracture completed. She may be able to move away but I can almost guarantee Trump will be living in her head until the day she dies!

I'm not in favor of conflating the USA's foreign policy with the spreading of the Kingdom of God.

Of course I'm in favor of national security and peace.

The hyperbole was a little over the top ...

calling President Trump a great man of Christian faith and values, comparable to the first Christian Roman emperor, calling for him to bring peace on earth through his invincible nation.

Instead of Christian Nationalism it sounds like Christian Empire.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd prefer we didn't politically dominate and bomb our enemies in the name of Jesus.

So where did the bishop say we should "politically dominate and bomb our enemies in the name of Jesus"? I didn't hear that.

I am also not so sure that Trump's leadership embodies "the values of our Christian faith and love for the Gospel," though I guess one might say that Trump has put his own life on the line and sacrificed his own immediate interest for the well-being of others. So I can give the benefit of the doubt there.

The subtext really isn't that subtle.

Considering all of our recent sabre rattling against Iran, I'm waiting for the articles about Trump waging a new wave of Crusades. The positioning of Trump and the USA as doing the work of the Christian God lends itself to that rhetoric.

Is Trump being used of God to reshape the world? Or has the courting of the Christian right been a calculated program to shore up support for recruitment and future military adventures?

IOW, you're just speculating that your worst fears about Donald Trump may come true. This religious guy is just a convenient jumping off point for it, despite saying nothing at all about war or Iran. Now I understand.

My worst fears about Trump are nothing compared to my worst fears about the leftists and the neocons, hence the reason I've voted for Trump three times.

I think it's ill advised to wrap the president and country in the banner of "Christianity". What our country has done, is doing and may decide it has to do, is often very very unchristian and so shouldn't be conflated with Christianity in any way shape or form.

How about the Trump accomplishment of promoting "guns are cool"? While it's not anything Earth shattering, I really enjoy that Trump 2.0 senior administration are getting out there doing more than Fudd guns on the pheasant opener.

I'm really hoping that Tulsi keeps up on her Tactical Games training and does some of that during her tenure as well. Dem and MSM heads will explode.

Illegal crossings along the southern border reached another new low in March as President Trump makes good on his promise to stop the invasion and secure the homeland -https://www.whitehouse.gov/articles/2025/04/icymi-illegal-border-crossings-hit-new-record-low-in-march/
  • In March, Border Patrol encountered just 7,181 illegal immigrants at the southern border.
    Compared to the same month under Biden, that represents a 95% decrease from 2024 (137,473), a 96% decrease from 2023 (163,672), and a 97% decrease from 2022 (211,181).
  • The Los Angeles Times reports “migrant crossings have slowed to a near halt” along the California-Mexico border, where Border Patrol agents are making just “30 to 40 arrests per day … down from more than 1,200 per day during the height of migrant arrivals to the region in April.”
