For those who may not recognize the name, Lee Paige is the DEA agent who (literally) shot himself in the foot while presenting a firearms safety class.

And all you need to do to make a pistol completely 100% safe is activate the safety.  Because there is NO WAY that you can deactivate the safety when grabbing at a gun that was dropped.

Mr. Robins has a point. The vacation gun safety rules apply to everyone; even federal agents. The rest of us, when we're going on vacation, dig out our dusty old safeties and put them on our guns when we go on vacation. Why should the feds be any different?

I note that we not only don't know the name of a federal doofus, we don't even know what agency he works for. If the same thing had happened to any one of us, our name would be prominently displayed in the first paragraph of the article.
