Murder for Insurance Payout Works sort of...

Apparently, the wife's plan succeeded in the fact that her husband was killed.  The interesting thing is that she failed to find out if the husband had updated the beneficiary.  Guess who got paid out of this?

Of course, she is getting free room and board for life anyway.

Reminds me of the guy who killed his children for the life insurance money (burned the house down) but forgot to pay the premium.

Seems like the daughter should have been tried as an adult.

I see she also tried to play the "he was abusive!" card.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Be careful who you marry.

Remember that ALL humans are flawed and don't expect perfection. You will find something about EVERYONE that you don't like. (Most of us, even about ourselves.)

However, "won't kill me" ought to be a minimally acceptable starting point. (And that ought to include not just intentionally doing so.)

Be careful who you marry.

At least run their name through http://www.judici.com/, or whatever your local equivalent is.

I've often wondered how many "black widow" murders there are out there, adjudicated or not.

I had an acquaintance who, I strongly suspect, was a victim of this syndrome.  I heard from a relative that she was really, really upset when she found out afterwards that the house was in his mother's name, not his. This, while a natural reaction, was in addition to prior little things.

Cremated and refused an autopsy would seem to be key items, I guess.

WHATEVER YOUR DEFINITION OF "INFRINGE " IS, YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING IT.

About half my family believes that my ex- was poisoning me.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
