Indiana tries to "fix" a stupid hunting law, succeeds in banning ALL hunting with rifles.

I'm gonna go with "not an accident".

Besides legislators usually don't write the bills, special interest groups do.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

"We have to pass it to know what is in it."
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Bacon is the candy bar of meats!

Only the dead have seen the end of war!

Nah, Indiana is a very, very gun and hinting friendly state.  (with R majorities in both houses and the governor.  Mike Pence was Governor up until Trump tapped him to be VP.)  Probably in trying to specify which calibers and where they accidentally screwed up.

Where is the problem?  A competent hobby hunter should be able to take down even the largest & most dangerous game with naught but simple bow & arrow, or a well crafted atlatl.  A professional hunter or truly dedicated hobbyist will use only their own God given teeth and claws.   :old:

Legally, sure.  Practically speaking that is not so easy in Indiana.

The governor should simply not sign it.  Veto.

Lots of old quarries down in the southern half of the state, might take some work to drive them down from the northern half...
