Gotcha.  I wasn't getting the Apple connection.

People still debate emacs vs vi?  I don't know anyone who uses emacs in a professional setting, but most of the Linux work I have done or supervised was enterprise work on servers and such.  Vi is the tool of choice in those settings.  When I was aware of people using emacs "back in the day", it was to use it as a replacement for WYSIWYG word processors.

Yup.  Not many, because I suspect most of the emacs club got told to stop screwing around and use a more sensible editor or go find another job.

Everywhere I've seen people using emacs, they were the same ones that insisted on using csh instead of bash, always had an xterm set aside to read their mail in tin, etc.
