Walther CCP M2 in .380...
« on: January 02, 2020, 08:28:42 AM »
Just got an e-mail that Walther is now offering the CCP M2 in .380 Auto.

Interesting play.

Since I have the 9mm version, I'm not interested in a .380 version.

But, if they were to come out with one in .32 ACP?

Yeah, I'd be buying that in a freaking heartbeat.

Same market, I'm guessing, as the EZ versions of the S&W Shield.

This is full size, but Ruger makes a pistol in 5.7x28 now.  I don't know if it is the same market, but it ought to be a light recoiling pistol.

I saw the S&W EZ 9mm last weekend at $355.  If I see that price again, I am sorely tempted to buy it.  I don't need it, but my mind keeps come back to it.

Ruger also announced the the LCP in 22 LR.  Colt announced the Python is back.  We will see what other new guns get announced in the next few weeks.

Walther has had the PK380.  Is the CCP M2 just a different grip and sights?  I am not sure of the difference.  I will have to keep an eye out for it.

The CCP 9mm has a gas tap off the barrel, providing pressure to lock the breech delay slide opening.  I'm going to guess this is the same.

Wellll.... no.

The CCP is delayed blowback, just like the HK P9s. The slide and the barrel are never locked physically as they are in, say, the Colt 1911 or the Sig 226.
