That sounds like the reasoning against porn in general: that viewing it increases the viewer's desire, making them more likely to commit acts of rape. Believe that was first stated by an incarcerated serial killer, so I have some trouble putting any stock in it.

Didn't SCOTUS rule in favor of cartoon child pron? The dolls would seem analogous.

Not sure to what you're referring. I know there was a SCOTUS ruling on completely computer generated child porn (they ruled against it). And I'm still somewhat conflicted on it, as there's no victim (no model used, so no child put into a sexually explicit situation). So... on the one hand, "ick"... but without a victim, there shouldn't be a crime...

According to The New York Times (a former newspaper), SCOTUS ruled in favor of the animated kiddy pron.

Now I'm curious about Justice Thomas's concurring opinion, which they mentioned in passing but didn't give any details.  BTW, I thought Strings was right on this, but I guess we were mistaken.
