there was a recent gun confiscation where the gun owner was killed.
I always "hear" from our side that cops will not kill us for refusing to give up our guns.
Politicians and bureaucrats are considered productive if they swarm the populace like a plague of locust, devouring all substance in their path and leaving a swath of destruction like a firestorm. The technical term is "bipartisanship".

It's true after a fashion.  If tomorrow it were ruled that all the guns must be confiscated I think you'd see a general rejection of that law by most departments.

Of course, that's not how it will happen.

In the moral, catatonic stupor America finds itself in today it is only disagreement we seek, and the more virulent that disagreement, the better.

I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.

I could have sworn we talked about this case, but I can't find the thread.
