Anyone else watching "Castle Rock"?
« on: September 23, 2018, 09:34:31 PM »
I'm loving it.

More than I expected after being disappointed in the later years be Stephen King's politics running over the graves of his stories.
Loving the settings, the music, the cinematography, the production, the story...

I hope it's all deserved and not just the whiskey.

First question answered...

"...and themes from the fictional town of Castle Rock, Maine. On August ..."

Not Castle Rock CO.

OK.  Wondered about that 'cause King lived in Boulder CO for a while.

Perhaps I should have included this:

"The Stephen King multiverse is the setting for this psychological horror series that takes place in Castle Rock, Maine, which is a location familiar to fans of King's work. "Castle Rock" explores themes and worlds that unite King's canon, including the infamous Shawshank Prison. An anonymous phone call lures death-row attorney Henry Deaver back to Castle Rock. He is unsettled by his hometown, but he returns to help a sinister, mostly mute man being kept in a cage underneath Shawshank. Sissy Spacek and Bill Skarsgård, who starred in feature adaptations of King's "Carrie" and "It," respectively, are among the show's stars."

Oh, just the thread title caught my eye since Castle Rock is just southeast of Denver.

Proceed.
