Kind of interesting considering she is claiming righteous victory with a DNA test showing the ancestor is 3 or 4 generations back at least.

So now she claims to be part Cherokee AND part Delaware? I hadn't heard that, and I find it difficult to comprehend. It's not like those two tribal groups were in the same part of the [then-future] United States.

So lemme work this out. Assuming just one Native American ancestor, the breakdown by generation is

And this is assuming that the one Native American ancestor was a 100 percent Native American, not a mix him/herself. According to a woman I worked with many years ago, who was an enrolled member of a Western tribe, each tribe decide how much tribal blood you have to have to be eligible for enrollment. She said her tribe (Flatheads) was 1/16, but that most are 1/8.

^^^A local tribe is facing lawsuits up the wazoo in tribal court regarding the dis-enrollment of 306 tribal members who are descendants of earlier tribal members who married Filipinos. Lots of controversy over 'Indian blood' and how much is required to be a tribal member. On a related note, another local tribe tightened up their requirements to be an enrolled member as that tribe grows increasingly affluent from their local casino, retail and real estate operations.

It's amazing to me that her lies to advance herself by falsely claiming Indian heritage have continued to hound her while Dick Blumenthal's much more egregious lies are all but forgotten.

Blumenthal is still "only" a Senator. His lies are not forgotten by veterans, but Connecticut is so overwhelmingly Democrat that the lies don't matter to those who vote him in. I think (and hope) that if he were ever to run for or be proposed for a position for which the nation as a whole has an interest, those lies would come back to haunt him.
