The Ds have a new conspiracy theory: Trump intervened in where the new FBI headquarters will be built to protect his hotel property in DC from competition:

Unless I'm totally off base, up-scale businesses of any kind typically thrive when other, similar up-scale businesses are located nearby. It creates a more vibrant commercial ambiance, and everybody benefits.
The real question was what Ds stood to make $$$ when the current property where the FBI HQ is located was sold off? Or from the sale of the land where the new FBI HQ was to be built was bought [no doubt for an inflated price] by Uncle Sugar?
