Quote
Hi-Point recently posted a couple photos on Facebook, explaining that a customer had sent in a 4595TS 45 ACP carbine, telling them he was unable to hit a target with the firearm. The reason? His bullets were not even making it through the barrel!

Facebook link in article says they re-barreled the carbine and sent it back to the customer.

I have had a squib in a carbine before.  I noticed the sound difference and didn't fire again.  I was still able to knock out the bullet.  Can't imagine continuing to fire.

Hatcher documents one instance in a revolver.  The "bang" came from the cylinder gap.  IIRC, there were 6 bullets in the barrel.  In frustration the shooter finally threw the gun at the owl which was offending him by keeping him (not Hatcher himself) awake.

Hatcher delves pretty deeply into barrel obstructions of all kinds.

Hi-Point 45 magazines hold 9 rounds which would mean 4 magazine changes while this was happening.
So in 35 shots and 4 mag changes he didn't notice something was amiss? I can only imagine the gas that was venting out of the ejection port.
Remember these are straight blow back, no locked breech, which is probably the only reason the gun didn't blow on the second shot.

One more shot might've knocked them all out of the barrel.

That Hi-Point was good for storing fired rounds, if nothing more.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

Where else do you keep your lead for reloads?
