So, my math skills have been deteriorating since my high point (12th grade calc), but wouldn't a million smackers per American add up to somewhere north of 300 trillion?

If he's got that kind of jack, Bloomberg can afford to buy a whole lot more than just Samoa.

Viewed the other way, $500,000,000 spread out to 375,000,000 people works out (according to my <$10 Radio Shack calculator) to about $1.33 per person. It would be a nice gesture, but nobody would retire on it.

So "People for Bernie" was promoting this interesting mathematical concept, even as people were calling the original dummies out. I guess that kinda sorta explains how Bernie thinks all his free stuff will be covered via taxing billionaires.

What is so disturbing about all this is that it shows how tightly they've wrapped themselves up in socialist dogma to the point where it seems to prevents them from seeing and questioning the obvious seriously bad math. I would like to think it's just because of bad math but at no point before running with it did it appear that any alarm bells had gone off in their heads. The alarms have been turned off.

Has anyone else noticed that the race pretty much doesn't exist right now? Great example of how the news sources move what is important to us. I've seen a couple of things on Biden. but Bernie seems to be way down the news hierarchy right now.
