Still living in infamy...
« on: December 07, 2024, 06:31:08 PM »
I just now remembered that it is Pearl Harbor Day. Here is a thread about it.
Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God?

Looks similar to how "Independence Day" is morphing into "The Fourth Of July," with no Nationalistic significance.

We've discussed this many times...

This is the natural progression of monumental events as they pass from memory to history.

I mean, for God's sakes, how many of you actually took a moment to commemorate the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre in August?

If no, why the hell not? Have you really become so jaded that you can casually dismiss it that easily?

MAGA unto others as you would have them MAGA unto you!

Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring—it was peace. — Milan Kundera

The gift which I am sending you is called a dog, and is in fact the most precious and valuable possession of mankind

I strongly prefer calling it "Independence Day," but I think the Founders were calling it "4th of July" a long time ago.
