There's nothing after the credits. There, I just saved you 10 minutes.

No other spoilers, but I doubt they could have done it better. Minor quibbles is all I have.

I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

I won't give any spoiling details either, but in my opinion only the last 40 minutes live up to the hype.

Eh, MOST of it was necessary to build it up. It's part of my quibbles, but even if it wasn't necessary, I think that last 40 minutes was worth it.

Possible spoiler, but i doubt it:

Oh!! My favorite part of all- "I KNEW it!" because I knew it, too.

(I don't think it's a spoiler because it doesn't make sense until you see it.)

Would have been nice to see at least a couple more lines from Korg.

On the radio the other day they were talking that this is the last of the movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe...

I'm thinking, OK, what, maybe 4 or 5?

Then they said that there have been 21 movies in the series...  :O

I've never been one much for superhero movies... Except Deadpool.

My son is a big fan. We were counting through them last night, and kind of personally ranking them.  As we are talking, I start to realize that he was 9 when we went to see the first Captain America movie, which was our first of the MCU films we saw in the theater.  The young man next to me and I are going to Endgame tomorrow.  I'll thank Stan Lee, Kevin Feige, and the MCU for all the time with my son...

My wife has watched some of them, but not been a particularly interested. After last night, she wants to watch ALL of the saga with her parents. It made her a big fan.

We had watched "Phase 1" at my daughter's first birthday. (All of her family and mine went on vacation together.) She's going to be 9 this year. It's been a long run and an audacious idea. (Spawned by a throwaway after credit scene.)

How lovely. All of the money that you wasted on tickets and refreshments for your son and you to spend quality time together could have done WONDERS for your beloved sister-in-law's tat and piercing collection...

It's a kind of narcissism.  Quite widespread in Hollywood and D.C.

And it's not the least bit surprising that she provided the absolute worst moments in the movie, either. (Her first appearance was fine. Her last one, not so much.)
