No thanks. Beef especially ground should be cooked until it is almost crispy. I want it in the category that comes after well done.

When I was much younger I had some friends that lived in Wausau that ate that. It's supposed to be fresh ground sirloin, not just beef.

I've had them.  They're not bad, but not life changing.

I prefer my raw meat to be not ground, because the texture helps a lot, but I'd still eat it at a party.  This sandwich is basically Midwest steak tartare.

I prefer cooked meat myself.  Doesn't have to be well done crispy, but cooked.

I won't eat undercooked sushi, so I won't be having raw hamburger any time soon.

Provided it's fresh and handled properly I see no more health issue than any other raw meat dish. Now if you're buying the tube of ground mystery cow parts at Walmart that's another story.

I see it as no different than eating steak tartare, sushi, and raw oysters, all of which I eat.

I'm picky about raw fish sushi, sticking with tuna.  I've eaten tartar, but made from ground steak by a chef friend who did the grinding himself (and his sanitation is damned good).  And, I've had this.  Didn't know it was called cannibal.  Maybe I had a variation, as it also had fresh basil and oregano on top, with the onion.  Not bad.

Its a very common hors d’oevre in WI, (1) though I dont eat it.

(1) despite the article, its far more common in central WI than SE WI.
