I diddle around with satellite maps and street views of various places, notably where I've lived in all these years. Just for grins, I usually hover over my present domicile just to kind of look around.
About a month ago I discovered they had taken a satellite view just as I had a huge black trash bag sitting on my car's hood so I could bring it to the dumpster.
The notable thing about that was I must have been in the car at that exact moment since I carry the bag out, park it on the hood, get in the car, and off I go to the dumpster and then on to my errands.
If I had known, I would have waved !
So today I was poking around and my car was missing! After two years of seeing it out there in the satellite view, this time I must have been out erranding at that moment.
Kind of amusing, but in a darker sense, just a little bit spooky, too, since that kind of detail can be ascertained.
Cue "Twilight Zone" theme...
Yes, I looked out the back door to make sure it was there right now. It is.
