RIP Bob Newhart

Knew how to make people laugh without being obnoxious. He was the master of delivery timing.

Funny guy, a LOT of today's comedians could learn a lot from watching him.

He'll be missed.

I appreciated how his career picked up a new generation of fans late in life with his guest role as Professor Proton on the Big Bang Theory.

Great comedian. Newhart was one of my favorite shows (well, mine, and my brother Daryl's, and my other brother Daryl's).

I always considered him to be the same caliber as the Carol Burnett Show comedians. While they did innuendo, they never resorted to raunchy, and still had you rolling on the floor.

"What am I doing in this outfit?"

I first appreciated him from his recordings, especially the one where he gets a call from Sir Walter Raleigh about tobacco and coffee.

Good job, Sir, RIP

Bob was one of those people whose work is timeless.  You can watch his stuff decades later and it is still funny.

He was a class act, no doubt. Along with Tim Conway one of the funniest comedians ever.
