Something in the water in Washington State?

Too many extreme far left wing wet dream ideas to list here, I would have to copy and paste most of the articles.
Be revealing to see how much traction this guy gets

It's not as bad as it seems.

He put "Ban conversion therapy" in there twice.

In answer to your question, yes, there is something in the water. I believe it picks up a particular nastiness as it rolls down the west slope of the Cascades and ends up infecting nearly everyone west of the Cascades with a particularly strain of liberalism.  More so in King County than others. :(

Somehow I doubt he is referring to sex change surgery.

Collins’ platform includes a smorgasbord of extremely liberal policies. He wants to shift exclusively “to 100% renewable energy by 2025 and create millions of jobs while doing it.” He also wants to “Nationalize energy production and the grid” and “Ban the procurement of fossil fuels, including coal, natural gas, and oil.”

He champions cancellation of medical and student debt, free public college and a stipend for students, and Medicare for All complete with free prescriptions, abortions and “gender affirmation surgery.” His platform states that “Abortion should be free, on-demand, and without apology or explanation.” He calls to “Nationalize pharmaceutical production” and “Void pharmaceutical patents.”

The crazy is strong with this one.

Collins supports allowing people in prison to vote and giving 16-year-olds the ability to vote at the federal level.

He’s pro-sanctuary city and wants to provide amnesty to everyone in the country illegally. His platform includes “[granting] amnesty to every single undocumented person in the United States, and implement a path to citizenship with expediency.”

He even wants to use eminent domain to grab golf courses in the name of environmentalism: “Acquire all privately owned golf courses by eminent domain and replant them with native flora. Golf courses have massive negative environmental impact and are extremely resource-intensive with regard to land and water,” his website states.

He appears to live in a fantasy land with no idea of the consequences of his policies.  He also sounds like someone who could justify all sorts of evil in the name of his crusades.

I was looking at his picture for his campaign propaganda.  If that is not a face that instills a great desire to punch as hard as you can, then I'd be hornswoggled.

Conservative shill to point up how ridiculous the leftist <ahem> thinking is?

I'd go along with the plan to grab golf courses if we could convert them to rifle ranges.  But I fail to see how golf courses need environmental improvement.  Seems to me they're pretty green as is, no pun intended.

Maybe it's from the runoff from the Mt. St. Helen's explosion.

I still think they're fielding their most extreme and ridiculously impractical ideas now so they can backtrack as we get near to the election and their not-so-extreme-and-ridiculously-impractical-ideas will sound more reasonable to low-information voters.

That's what I still think.
