If Santa were to carry on his Xmas rounds, which of these two options would he choose?

Santa drives a sleigh in the jet age.  He's going to be carrying a Colt SAA in .45LC.   Or maybe a set like Patton, a Colt SAA on one side, a Smith on the other.

Santa carries a blunderbuss.  The powder is red and white, crushed candycane.

Glock. Look at the man's tacky threads. He doesn't have the style to go for a 1911.

No, really, he packs a brace of flintlocks and a Jaeger rifle.

That was my thought. He's clearly a revolver man.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Santa's a classic kind of dude.

He'd carry a 4" Smith & Wesson Model 10.

Might as well suggest a Cavalry Schofield.

That's an interesting thought, given that the real St. Nicholas was Bishop of Myra... Although at that time Myra was part of Greece, so he probably would have a Mannlicher-Schonauer in 6.5x54...

That seems more like something Krampus would carry.

I'm wondering why a blaster would need a drum magazine.  For style? :)

With his wide. stiff belt, Santa would clearly be capable of carrying a full-size, steel 1911.  Of course, the weight might require an additional reindeer to get off the ground.
