Automatic Back Scratcher (for dogs at least)

Not sure I would want to try this, but it seems to work for the dog.  A Chihuahua might get a little carried away.

If you can't see the vidoe, a dog is using a car wash spinner as a back scratcher / petting machine and obviously enjoying it.

Here is another video someone posted in the replies from youtube.

Looks like an accident waiting in the wings.

There used to be a bush or small growing tree in the pasture next to my building where the lady's llamas would move over it and scratch their bellies with it.  Or at least one of them --they all look alike to me.

I'd spot that activity once in a while, but one day I realized the bush was gone.  It's not like I was carrying out a surveillance assignment on it, just one day I noticed it missing.  I could infer, without actually knowing, that one of them may have injured itself on it.

And of course, deer use trees to rub the velvet off their antlers, too.

Me, I use a good wooden backscratcher.

cows too

My cow guy's stupid cows knocked down all three of my wood duck nesting boxes due to scratching an itch. I need to get those back up this month.

The car wash wouldn't work for Steve.  I took him through the carwash with me a couple of months ago, and he jumped in my lap trying to make himself small, shaking and crying the whole time.

My black labrador uses the vertical blinds in my dining room.  She just walks back and forth and lets the bottom edges scratch her back.  Often, she will do this until I get sufficiently annoyed and tell her to stop.
