Oh man. Total bummer. RIP. He was one of the top brains in the world, and being the foremost expert on closed systems, always injected sanity into the anthropogenic global warming crap.

Thanks for posting that.  I think some Scifi writers I have read drew from him.  Larry Niven's Ringworld was a pretty cool book.
