Trump's (Pelosi's) Nazi Symbol
« on: July 15, 2020, 06:49:59 PM »
This isn't the first time this has come up, but USA Today decided to do a "fact check" and checked "true" that Trump is using a Nazi eagle on his campaign items. The same eagle the Speaker of the House uses, by the way.

These people are insufferable. And every day journalists are 'outraged" that they are under attack. Jackwagons.

So Hitler was also guilty of cultural appropriation.

Eagles have been used in iconography  as far back as the Roman Empire,  and probably longer.

And then we can blame Trump for peoples of colors feeling threatened and unsafe and unhappy, instead of blaming the far-left FUD squads!

No one did NAZI  like those cute old Romans .... they had Caligula,  Tiberius,  Nero .... all the Nazis had was one scheisskopf with one nut and a postage-stamp mustache . [tinfoil] [popcorn]..

The symbol for St. John is an eagle.

And somewhere "down there" the Minister of Propaganda is smiling.

Who doesn't know history is bound to repeat it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Goebbels#Propagandist_in_Berlin

Quote
Aware of the value of publicity (both positive and negative), he deliberately provoked beer-hall battles and street brawls, including violent attacks on the Communist Party of Germany.[59] Goebbels adapted recent developments in commercial advertising to the political sphere, including the use of catchy slogans and subliminal cues.[60] His new ideas for poster design included using large type, red ink, and cryptic headers that encouraged the reader to examine the fine print to determine the meaning.[61]

Risky post, this.  One f the detriments of modern "interwebz culture" is that it is easy to fling the term "Godwinning" to stifle discussion of parallels with the very relevant propaganda techniques and strategies of the Nazis of the 30s and the first half of the 40s.

So fling away.
