I'm not sure whether to thank you for telling me how to view that ... or not.

That's a massive amount of stupid in one short video.

Not sure, is that ignorance or stupidity?

Boy I sure remember when I was at Benning and at least one private a day was blowing his head off. It got to the point where we'd just take his pogie bait and push 'em over the berm.

Mr. Not Having a Clue Coalition said that ARs' bolts will harmlessly close will fire if dropped on the butt stock. Even if the safety is on!

I haven't played with ARs in about 15 years, but you can't safety an AR when the bolt is open, can you? Unless he has some oddball/broken safety lever.

Anytime it's cocked you can put the safety on, you can't when it's been fired. When the bolt is back, the hammer is cocked and you can put the safety on.
A plan is just a list of things that doesn't happen.

Do believe there are some after market triggers where you can flip to safe uncocked. Not saying he has installed one, highly doubt he would have a clue what or how, just that they do exist

Yes.

He also said he bought that rifle in 1990 -- in Germany. He called it an XR-15 (or SR-15?).

I don't know if the manufacturers were selling ARs with that style handguard in 1990. Even if they were, I am very skeptical about the possibility that he was somehow able to purchase an AR-15 in Germany and then bring it into the United States. Is there anyone who was stationed in Germany in the 1990s who can comment on this?

FWIW, there actually is a bullpup rifle (if a bullpup is a rifle) called the XR15. It doesn't look like the AR-15 this dude is holding.

Sabre Defense sells an AR-15 they call the XR-15 -- but it's a flattop, it doesn't have a carry handle.

I need to look at the video again but it looked like a Bushmaster DCM at first glance

BTW: The video is flipped for some reason, the letters on his shirt are backward, so at first it appears to be a left hand model but it's not.

Get a load of this
The description for the video link below

Quote
The MSM Media failed to show what happened AFTER the so called weapons discharge. So here it is. 3,500 NFAC moving into downtown Louisville, Ky for Breonna Taylor.

3,500? They had maybe 50-75 people. 100 tops

Haven't watch the video yet, it's 12:30am and I don't want to get POed before trying to go to sleep. 3.500 my ass.
Comments are turned off of course.

You're right. I looked for that, but the video is grainy enough that I missed it.

This time comments are on and this was the first one

Have not see anything official as to what kind of rifle was involved in the discharge but someone on another forum said they heard on a livefeed that a Henry rifle was being taken away.
Okay
Then this pops up a couple of days ago.

Henry H015 Single Shot Rifle & Shotgun Safety Recall and Upgrade
https://www.henryusa.com/recall/
Quote
Under certain conditions, it is possible that some of these rifles and shotguns may discharge without the trigger being pulled if the hammer is partially cocked and released. Henry has identified the cause of the issue, and it will be corrected by replacing various components of the fire control system.

Coincidence?

Doesn't change my opinion of the NFAC leader's video one bit since he using an AR for his BS demonstration

It would appear that despite their name, there is indeed quite a bit of *expletive deleted*ing around in their ranks.  Some may even follow that with finding out.
