Multitool smaller than the Leatherman Wingman
« on: November 24, 2020, 10:25:46 AM »
The Leatherman Wingman is my EDC multi-tool because it is small enough to fit in my dress slacks, is stainless, and has scissors, pliers, knife blade and screwdrivers.  These are my minimum requirements for a multi-tool that I can use during the workday.  Does anyone know of a multi-tool with the same minimum functions but yet is smaller and lighter than the Wingman?

How good of pliers do you need?

The pliers are the only part of a multi-tool I can think of needing and using that a plain old knife couldn't do.  I have needed screw drivers, but normally really small ones.  The pliers have been useful pulling out staples at the range.

Light duty is sufficient.  When I am in casual clothes, I am usually carrying a Leatherman Wave, or an equivalent Gerber model.  The Wingman is my office carry and if something came up that the Wingman cannot handle, then I have the Wave in the truck in the parking lot.
