an WB-57
Semantic silliness, but doesn't that feel like an incorrect use of the a/an indefinite arcticle? "W" is pronounced "woo" or "whu" in words, but in the acronym/designator for the aircraft it would be pronounced "doubleyou," right? Unless we're using ATC phonetic alphabet, in which case it is "Whiskey." When I go to the bar, I ask for a whiskey, not an whiskey.
Is this a woob-fiftyseven? Or a doubleyou-bee-fiftyseven? Or a whiskey-bravo-five-seven? Or is it something else that would conventionally use "an" as an indefinite article?
