Catholics used to be pretty good at communicating the gospel through images. Not just in a few, high-profile artworks, but through something as ubiquitous as the crucifix. A man nailed to a wooden crosspiece, his body twisted in pain. Powerful; relatable. Then there's this spaceman with a baby bjorn, and a B movie monster behind them. What in the actual?

The point behind it is to be absurd, disturbing and defiling by claiming to represent the true, good and beautiful.

It is subversion and propaganda not against Christianity, but against the very individual that trusts and believes in God.

It is not a nativity scene. It does not represent anything Christian.
