Not a package but my mailed in payment to State Farm which was due 3/15 "disappeared" somewhere before it got to the processing center in Dallas.
I got an email on the 18th that it was late and they were going to assess a "late fee" so I went to my agent the next morning and showed her my checkbook's ledger.  On 3/4/25 was a check to a local store, then the check to State Farm that was post-dated to 3/15/25.  Then, the very next check was written to a different local store on 3/5 and I told the lady that the payment was sent out on either the 4th or 5th and that 10-11 days was plenty of time for the P.O. to get it there.  As a result of the P.O.'s failure, I was refusing to pay ANY "late charges", particularly as SF just raised my monthly bill (2008 pick-up, 2011 Elantra, & house) by over $13 !!  :mad:  :facepalm:  [barf]
I had to write them another check and, as of last Friday, the previous check hadn't cleared the bank.  I plan to check again tomorrow while I get new tires for that pick-up.  It was necessary as those were still the original tires from '08 and were showing signs of dry rot (hairline cracks in sidewalls near rims).

Beginning next week, white men in Great Britain will receive harsher criminal sentences for the same crime than all other groups (I suppose you could also read it as everyone but white men will be treated leniently). Even Starmer seems to be against this, but claims he can't do anything.
