That has been painfully apparent ever since he hosted the redo of the late Carl Sagan's "Cosmos".  When it became evident in the first 2-3 episodes that Tyson wasn't going to explore deep space but focus on "climate change" and other "socially acceptable" matters, I quit watching.

I tried to watch but walked away after he spend an entire episode attacking oil companies. WTF? Came back and started again but it didn't get any better.
Also when he would talk about climate changes that happened several times in earth's past millions of years before humans even existed but then start the what you need to do to stop climate change lecture.

Pub's name hurts foxes feelings

A pub in England has been asked to change its name by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) due to it being "derogatory" and "unfair" to foxes.

The animal rights group has made the request to The Sly Old Fox pub in Birmingham.

It wants the word 'sly' to be changed to 'clever' in a bid to reflect society’s “ever-evolving empathy for animals”.

Not the only name they have a problem with

PETA has approached other establishments in the past to modernise their names.

These include suggesting Ye Olde Fighting Cocks in St Albans change to Ye Olde Clever Cocks which, they said, would "reflect society’s rejection of needless violence and to help celebrate the chicken".

That article looks like they just took a press release/article from PETA and published it.  No quote from the pub owner or even a note about contacting them. 

I wouldn't consider "sly" to be a negative term.
