They had initially awarded SpX $885M in 2020 under Trump but reversed that decision in 2022  under Biden because they said SpX won't be able to delver.

A Republican put the kibosh on it? I thought Comer was okay. That's swamp rat behavior - the guy is always on the Fox Business talking about government inefficiency, and he's complaining that the guy who launches like a bajillion satellites a year can't make time or bandwidth requirements.

Do they even know what Starlink is, or what the other rural options (IIRC "rural connectivity" was a big part of this) are? I've probably got the next best thing to Starlink for living in the sticks and I'm getting ~18mbps. Compare to Starlink.

Cromer was investigating the kibosh. The FCC are the ones that did it.
Would have helped if I had remembered to put the title in there too which I just did.
