I would say that when a representative republic cannot hold elections without this level of distrust and uncertainty, and congress can't hold congressional proceedings without barricading doors and shooting people... well the system is failed and walking dead.

I think that we are witnessing "the day" the USA fell. The storming of Capitol Hill is for the US sort of what the tearing down of the Berlin wall was for the Soviets.

I sooooo hope you're wrong, Blakenzy.  Unfortunatly,   for a number of years I've had the feeling that this country was getting closer to some type of ...... dystopic event that would cause a nasty schizm in America ......  :'( 

I somehow doubt the current president-elect has the ability or wisdom to solve the problem and redirect our country's current path.

It will be interesting to see if this is the case. I read confirmation that the police shot her.

It has been a bit disgusting for me to see the people who were excusing/supporting/cheering antifa now suddenly finding the need to punish rioters at all costs. The hypocricy makes me want to vomit.

Also all the conservative legislators that were rightly questioning all the fishy stuff during the election now doing a 180, I'm guessing to save their careers, though they may have misidentified their audience.
